Abstract

This report details the birth of Siamese twins in a beef cattle herd located in the Vichada department of Colombia. Despite being a rare condition in cattle, it continues to amaze rural populations who associate this event with enigmatic causes or, in some instances, with scientifically baseless predictions of catastrophic events. The case is related to the birth of siamese calves, joined at the hip, with four forelimbs, two hindlimbs, and a single navel, which resulted in an ischiopagus classification.
